The Nation Publishing Co. Limited (“The Nation”) has been in operation since 1973. The company currently publishes daily editions of The Nation Newspaper – the leading newspaper in Barbados, as well as several specialty magazines and publications, which include The Barbados Business Authority, Friends Magazine, Better Health Magazine and the annual Crop-Over Souvenir.
From inception, the company has developed a reputation for quality award-winning editorial, printing and publishing. At present the standard set by The Nation is regarded as the benchmark for newspaper publishing in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. In 2006, the company was awarded the license to publish the Official Match Programmes, The Official Souvenir Guide and “The Legacy”- the Official Commemorative Book for ICC Cricket World Cup 2007.
The Nation is a principal subsidiary of Nation Corporation, which merged in 2005 with The Caribbean Communication Networks (CCN), based in Trinidad to form One Caribbean Media Limited (OCM); a publicly owned and regionally focused media company.
